“Sew, a needle pulling thread”

Gross. The note is sol. It is sol, it has been sol. It is not “sew”. Call me a solfege-purist all you want but this is the hill I can and will die on. You had sole, soul, and Sol at your disposal, and you chose sew? Disgusting. I can only imagine your fathers’ disappointments that their sons grew up to be lyrical half-asses with your ‘slant rhymes’ and your ‘near-homophones’. No. This is America, and in America we use actual homophones, like God intended.
